Privacy policy

The short version

Your images stay on your device, because these tools have nowhere to send them. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. One preference — your light or dark theme — is stored inside your own browser, and you can delete it whenever you like.

Your images

Images you process are decoded and re-encoded inside your browser tab. They are not uploaded, not copied to a server, not scanned and not stored. This is not a promise about our behaviour that you have to take on trust: the shipped code contains no upload requests at all, so there is no code path that could send a file. You can verify it by opening your browser's Network panel and using any tool — no request is made while an image is processed.

What is stored on your device

One thing, and only if you choose it: when you toggle the theme, your choice is written to your browser's local storage under the key browserimageeditor:theme. It holds the word light or dark and nothing else. It is not a cookie, it is not sent anywhere, and clearing your browser's site data for this site removes it — after which the site follows your operating system's setting again.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies, which is why you will never see a cookie banner here. There is no analytics script, no advertising script, no tracking pixel, no session recording, and no third-party script, font or asset of any kind loaded into these pages. Nothing about your visit is profiled, and there is no account to log into.

What the server necessarily sees

The files that make up this site are served by a static hosting provider. Like every web server, it necessarily sees the request itself: your IP address, the page or file you asked for, your browser's user-agent string and the time of the request. That is standard operational logging, it happens on their infrastructure rather than in these pages, and it is not linked to any profile of you — there is no account or identifier to link it to. We do not run analytics over it and we do not sell or share it.

If you email us

Writing to hello@browserimageeditor.online means we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, including any attachment you add. We use it to reply to you and nothing else: no newsletter, no marketing list, no sharing. If you would like that correspondence deleted afterwards, say so in the message or in a later one, and we will delete it.

Your rights over your data

Because no personal data is collected or held on the server side, there is nothing stored about you to access, correct, export or erase. The only data in play lives in your own browser — the theme setting described above — and you control it directly by clearing your browser's site data. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will do it.

Children

The tools are not directed at children and collect nothing from anyone, so there is no separate children's data practice to describe.

Changes to this policy

If this page changes in a way that affects what happens to your data, the date below changes with it. Because the approach is "process locally, collect nothing", the honest expectation is that there will be very little to report.
